AN IDEA IS FORMED 1978-1981
Ronald French began his professional career in moving at the age of nineteen. After years of frustration and disappointment in the lack of care and concern the moving companies he worked for showed their customers, Ron decided to begin his own company.

FROM A MODEST START 1980's
Ron began Advanced Moving Systems with a 1978 3/4 ton pickup, a fourteen-foot trailer, and a dream for a true moving "service" company. With hard work and determination, Ron expanded his moving company to include five moving trailers of various sizes.

GROWTH AND EXPANSION 1990's
In 1994, Ron's wife Debi joined him adding sixteen years of customer service and accounting experience to help build Ron's dream. Due to customers' need for temporary and permanent storage, Ron erected a self-storage facility of 20 non-climate controlled units. In the fall of 1995, Ron & Debi purchased their first twenty-four foot straight truck. Over the next four years, Ron & Debi purchased three additional twenty-four foot straight trucks. In 1998, Ron & Debi incorporated and A-1 Advanced Moving & Storage, Inc. was born! In 1999, Ron erected a second self-storage unit building consisting of sixteen climate controlled and eight non-climate controlled units. They are in the process of erecting a five thousand square foot palletized warehouse to further assist in customers' needs, and plan to purchase a twenty-eight foot straight van by spring of 2001.

A STRONG REPUTATION - Update 2002
Today, A-1 Advanced Moving & Storage, Inc. is well known as a customer service oriented company that boasts a vast repeat and referral business. The warehouse has been erected; it turned out to be a 6,500 square foot open warehouse. Eventually this warehouse will have an office and a second floor air-conditioned storage room. The company has grown to a force of six twenty-four foot straight trucks, 1 twenty-four foot straight truck with an eleven-foot attic, and five trailers.
